about

In early 2015, Cinema Hearts transformed from the lonely project of singer-guitarist Caroline Weinroth into a vibrant band with the addition of her brother and bassist, Erich Weinroth, and her friend and drummer, James Adelsberger. A year has passed and Feels Like Forever has emerged -- an aural tale of waiting forever for good moments to come and wishing that those lovely moments could last forever. The sound of Cinema Hearts is wistful, yet feisty, with a pulsing passion for days gone by.

"...sugar sweet teen pop that cozies up tight with the mellow side of Burger Records' pop-nostalgia-via-DIY catalogue." - Washington City Paper

"Incorporating contemporary elements of lo-fi indie and dream pop, this innovative trio brings a sound that evokes flashes of the Greatest Generation's dance halls and of DIY basement stages." - The Deli Magazine

Track Name: Homework
It's raining sleet outside,
the roads are bad and I can't drive.
My life is being led through a screen.
I'm tired of this scene.

My room's a mess with piles of clothes.
My music plays, my cell phone glows.
I can't prepare myself for times that lie ahead.
I feel so many things at once,
I can't get any homework done.

Live out the best years of your life.
Get your degree, don't be his wife.
Adults around me seem to suffer through the storm,
The endless traffic jam of wondering what it's for,
I can't surrender and watch my days decay.
I feel so many things at once,
I can't get any homework done.
Track Name: If You Go
I don't know why
you keep on trying
to keep me around.
We're different now

And I can't talk to you,
I don't trust your point-of-view
anymore.
And the things that you say
have no meaning anyway,
I'm sure.

Oh, I wouldn't try to stop you if you go.
No, I wouldn't try to stop you if you go.

It's such a lie,
I fake my smile,
my mind has changed,
you're still the same.

And I don't want to read
all the notes that I receive
anymore.
And I don't want to be
stuck at your parties.
I'm sure.

And I won't waste my time
telling you about my life
anymore.
And I won't cry a tear
if you are never here.
I'm sure.
Track Name: That Boy
Oh, that boy
Won’t he sit by my side?
Oh, that boy
Won’t he give me a smile?
Can’t he see how much
he means to me?

Oh, that boy
Has a real wild side
Goes out back
Smokes a pack with the guys
Can’t believe how much
He means to me

He’s a boy you can’t rely on
I know I keep on trying
For now, we’ll have to meet
Only in my dreams

Oh, that boy
He’ll never know
That each day I think of him
Oh, whoa
Can’t he see how much
he means to me?
Track Name: Don't You Tell Me
Don’t you tell me
You can’t feel
Don’t you tell me
Our love’s not real

Don’t say it was nothing
You know I try
Don’t say that you’re nothing
You make me cry

Don’t you tell me
You can’t be around
Don’t you tell me
I’m better off now

You know nothing
You don’t know
You feel nothing
You can’t show
Track Name: I've Been Living Here Too Long
I’ve been living here too long
I guess I’m scared of moving on
Familiar places
Same old spaces
Nothing changes
Except the signs and paint colors

I’ve been living here too long
All the people I know are gone
Talk to my parents
Same old arguments
Maybe this time
They’ll be like the people I thought they were

I’ve been living here too long
20 years, I still get lost
Go to the old place
Scene of a first date
Is it too late
to go back?

Drive half an hour
Drive somewhere new
Doesn’t feel the same
When I’m not with you
Track Name: Our Constellation
You know,
my love for you will never slow.
Even if you have to go,
I know that you're with me.

Oh, my dear,
I live my life without fear.
Even if you're not here,
I know that you're with me.

And even if we're stars apart,
I know our constellation hearts
will find a way to shine together.
And though we go our separate ways,
living out our different days,
I trust our constellation lies together.

Oh, my star,
no matter wherever you are,
just look up into the dark,
and know that I'm with you.

Miles away,
I never thought we'd see the day
when all our other stars would fade,
but I'm still here with you.

I hope our constellation shines forever.
Track Name: Daydreaming
Daydreaming,
wishing I could be where you are.
Daydreaming,
wishing that you weren't so far.

Oh, this semester's so bad,
classes are such a drag.
Oh, I can't wait for break
when I'll be holding your hand.
But I'm just
daydreaming,
waiting for the summer to come.

Daydreaming,
longing for the weeks to get warm.
Daydreaming,
longing for the end of these storms.

I'm getting tired of sitting around.
Not sleeping, heavy mornings bringing me down.
Keep waiting, just need enough to pass.
This summer, I think it'll be the best.

Daydreaming,
hoping we hang out every day.
Daydreaming,
hoping you'll be here to stay.
Track Name: I Want You (But I Don't Need You)
Babe, I want you,
But I don't need you,
You can call me,
But you don't have to,
Honey, any time that you are free,
You know that you can always hang out with me.

Babe, I want you,
But I don't need you,
I've got some others
I can hold onto,
But if you were smart then you would be
Spending all your nights holding onto me.

Oh, honey,
I know we're young and we ain't got time.
We're so busy
Thinking about the rest of our lives.
But, oh darling,
I really think it would be wise
For you to keep me 'round so I can help you rise.

Babe, I want you,
But I don't need you,
If you ignore me,
Then I'll forget you,
But when I'm the one who's making a scene,
Oh, you'll wish that you had stayed with me.
Track Name: Darling, Don't You Know
I've had some beautiful days,
even though you've been away.
Still see your face all the time.
Counting down the days 'til you'll be mine.
A whole week out of the year
and you'll be back here.
Clear a spot on my bed room floor,
in case you wanna come hang around next door.

Darling, don't you know
the lengths that I'd go
just to see you smile?
I hope you come stay a while.
And, darling, can't you see
how much you mean to me?
It's fine to put me aside.
I guess I'll see you next time.

Put a can of Coke in my fridge.
I know it's the drink you'd pick.
Last time that you came by,
you asked for a glass that had more ice.
We talked about our old friends,
all our boring weekends.
"How's school?" "It's like a dream.
Graduating is scarier than it seems."

Wait in front of my parent's garage,
watch the other cars drive on and on.

Oh, darling don't you know.
Sometimes I miss you so.
I wanna see your smile.
I hope you come stay a while.
And, darling, can't you see
how much you mean to me?
It's fine, put me aside.
You know I'll wait for you next time.
Track Name: I'll Always Be Around
Do you get lonely
When the sky’s grey?
Do you think of me
At the end of the day?

Would you call me
When you’re around?
It’s so hard, love,
To know that you’re not in this town

I know the shops
Drive down those roads
Haunt the old places we used to go

I close my eyes
Can’t look at the signs
You’re lucky you’re under a different sky

It isn’t easy
Staying at home
It’s so hard, love,
Being here all alone

And if you’re ever
Back in town
Remember, love,
I’ll always be around
